about the same here for my wife and daughter. Staggering isn't it??? Yet, I understand it also... I would have paid $75,000 when I had my colon removed earlier this year out of pocket.
I believe we should have a system like France or England's (I was covered by the English system at one point). The problem with the American system is it is so filled with middlemen who pocket billions and doctors who order $1,000s of test all the time along with specialist referrals for almost anything more then a stuffy nose. Then the very high rate of top line drugs. They won't allow insulin to go generic for example.
