Thought about fenders for my commuter. Haven't gotten there yet though.

I always wipe off the chain after letting it dry on. Works best. I am finding the motor oil when applied this way seems to work just about as good as the spray stuff like Tri-flow. If you clean your chain once a week or more, I have found just plain motor oil seems to last long enough (50+ miles) just fine. Especially synthetic motor oil.
