My cafe century is starting look like a road bike. I like drop bars...more hand positions, and the ability to be aero and keep up with road bikes. At the same time, I can fit wider comfort tires whenever I ride a path that needs more cushion. Will be getting a full road group for it as well shortly. Well, golly. I stand corrected; these (Cafe's and Fudgeurpizzy's) lightweight hybrids most definitely compare to road bikes. I had not done any research on these sleek black (carbon) beauties, as they were not in my price range. I would guess their weight is several pounds less than my steel road bikes. The one caveat that occurs to me is that the more they resemble road bikes the less they resemble dirt and gravel road/trail bikes, which is the purpose I originally thought hybrid bikes were intended. A different philosophy of riding, is all, and it's all good. Seeing your pics has been quite an education.
