No triplet lacing means twice as many spokes on the drive side as the non-drive side. That way the tension in the fewer NDS spokes has to be doubled to offset the larger number of DS spokes. With the BHS hubs the tensions on the two sides usually come out very close to the same that way. You should look for the so-called 8:16 or 9:18 hubs at BHS depending on whether you are wanting 24 or 27 spoke rear wheels. The NDS has to be radial or maybe 1X at most.
