My wife is going to be out of town on Friday and Saturday and I'm already trying to work out the logistics for getting the kids from school, getting them to three soccer games, and arranging for sitting while I'm at my team's fall meeting and "awards banquet." I don't know how single parents do it.
No kidding. My wife & I are relatively spoiled by having flexible hours. Hers are really flexible. She basically told them "I'm working from home when I feel like it"
