How bad is hwy1 and 101 from southern oregon to san diego in November and December? I did it back in august and loved it. I know the winter is colder and wetter in the winter, but how much so? Is it so rainy and windy that it's impossible to ride? How much less traffic is there? Do most of the campgrounds along the coast, especially in the redwoods stay open year round? I don't know for sure if I'm gonna ride it again this year but I was considering it. I just don't want to do it if it's gonna rain every single day and be miserable the whole time.
