Bikes: 27 speed ORYX with over 39,000Kms on it and another 14,000KMs with a BionX E-Assist on it

I'm going to say yes, the helmet helped, would have been worse without the helmet... JMO, Having said that I also believe helmets don't help as much as most people think/hope... JMO
