Fuji offers good value for the dollar. My re-entry into road cycling was an '06 Fuji Newest bought in '07 as a last-year's model. 20,000 miles on it, and I still ride it. If there is a last year's model that fits you, that's a good way to go to save some bucks. I now have two road bikes, and that's the way I bought both of them. Good luck with your search.
