A few years ago I went out of my way to stop by a specialty meat store in Blairstown, NJ. Picked up some good Polish sausage and cooked it in camp:
I like to do this as well. I carry dry spaghetti in a cardboard tube, (like you would find in a paper towel tube), after boiling, I add the cooked sausage to tomato sauce adding local onions, sweet peppers or anything that may work for the recipe. This is washed down with a cold beer baring that a warm one.
