Yeah, I'd heard that works from a few sources. Please tell us more. What cassette, which cog did you leave out, did you need a different lockring or spacers, any other issues getting it set up, etc.
I put a thin spacer behind the cassette, maybe 1mm and removed the 13 and it's spacer from an 11-23 cassette. The accompanying lock ring worked perfect as well.
The setup works so good I have no plans to ever change it.
