Did my first metric century today... accidentally :)

My buddy and I set out to do our first 50+ mile ride this morning with the Tour de Ted ride in Waco, Texas. We missed a route marker and overshot one section of the course by about 8 miles round trip, which had us end up doing more than we expected:

Distance: 63.32 mi
Time: 4:14:17
Avg Moving Speed: 15.0 mph
Max Speed: 34.3 mph
Elevation Gain: 1,522 ft

The funny thing is the detour we took had us going up the biggest hill of the ride. The locals kept saying, "just wait for that big hill around 25 miles" and at 25 miles, we were going up the biggest hill of the ride... it just wasn't part of the planned course

So we ended up doing our first 60+ mile ride and our first metric century. I felt like I could have kept going. The Roubaix made the ride. Great bike for this sort of thing. Making start to wonder about my first imperial century now...
