Looks like the SL also has a different wheel set? I believe there are some forum members who have ridden the S and SL. I didn't ride a S when I was getting mine. Another thing I'd recommend from experience is buy as much bike as you can comfortably afford, I didn't and it wasn't long before I wanted to upgrade. Also depending what size you need the SL's can be hard to come by. Good luck!
