Might a DaVinci crank with the multiple pedal mounting positions work in lieu of a child's stoker kit? Could be wrong as I really haven't looked into them, but I thought they offered three positions 20mm apart (175, 155, 135mm for example). Then that part of child/adult swap is a matter of moving pedals?

IDK...
The youngest of the child stokers is in kindergarten, so shortening the crank arms on a Robusta large doesn't work, but your suggestion can work in a few years. Jack pointed out that he has crank shorteners when I'm ready.
