How far are you leaning and how fast are you going?

I've got over 3000 miles on my Marathon Supremes and they grip extremely well in the wet. The round profile of the Marathon Supreme should handle leaning just fine and provide a consistent experience in turns. There is, however, always a limit to how hard you can corner on wet pavement.

When you say you lose traction, do you mean that the tires are actually sliding?
