Thanks for all the replies so far.

I ride in the streets, don't think I necessarily fit into the definition of a high speed rider. There are two turns that I am thinking of, both are hard 90 degree turns, one is possibly even more of an obtuse angle than that, during which I have definitely felt the back wheel slip out when the street is wet. I am probably going into them between 10-15 mph, maybe a little faster, but I'm not really sure because I need to slow down beforehand to make the turn. But I definitely lean into into the curves, how else are you supposed to turn on a bike that is going at a decent clip? Could be that slowing down is not the worst option in the rain.

Will look into the tires that were suggested.
