I believe you are right. I'm guessing you have a 1984/85 Allez SIS/SE made by Miyata; according to the attach spec sheet below the top end Allez was "Guards Red", was made with Tange Prestige tubing and had Dura Ace Components; the SE was Guards Red and came with CroMo tubing with Suntour/ Dia Comp mix of components; the SE/SIS also came CroMo tubing, but it had Shimano 600 componets and it was Metallic Argon Blue (not Red), which seems to match your bike; I have not seen another Allez in that color. Below the chart is what looks to be an SE frame like yours, only it was red before before the owner totally screwed up the paint job; yes he meant for it to look like it was in varying stages of being stripped. You can also see how out of whack the fork really is.
