Gotta climb on here. 3,000 miles and you think it is worn out? Why? I just got a road bike in April and only rode it a few days a week. I normally ride mountain bikes. Still, my road bike has just under 3,000 miles on it and i consider it new still.

Components wear out on a bike and then you replace them, but the majority of the bike should last a long, long time. Usually lust or greed sets in far before anyone wears out a bike. Then they buy a new one.
