The c17 is a great seat. Very comfortable and waterproof. However, it will never be as comfortable as its tensioned leather brother, the b17 after it breaks in and becomes "your" saddle. I have a white cambium so fading isn't a problem for me but my roommates slate one has shown very noticeable fading. Over all its a toss up, pay the iron price with your ass for evevy bit of eventual saddle perfection and go with the b17, or pay the gold price and get instant gratification by picking up a c17. Knowing full well that your missing out on quite a bit of comfort down the road.
