I need help in somethink. On my road bike is steel around 27 pounds. I have crank 53/39 and 9 speeds cassete 12-25. Today i had go for ride in bike trail have elevation from 700 feet to 900 feet. With that gears and crank setup i have in flats i was okay i do 18 miles top speed some times little more but when i be on hill i was so slow sometimes my speed had droped to 5 miles per hour. Sometimes i stay on the 53 ring and i go on the 25 i try gain some speed. I do wrong i should i use the 39 with the 25? Or general before i get on the hills i should use the small ring. Finally my average speed in 20 miles ride is was around 12 miles per hour what i have to do for i can improve my average speed. If i try 52/36 crank or 50 34 is be better? Or i should i go in more wide cassete and i had 28 cog, What is the best to do, Go in lower crank like triple 48/38/28 in 52/36 or 50/34 and i keep the 12-25 cassete or is better i live the 53/39 crank and i buy more wide cassete. I want have one cassete 9 speeds give me good top speed and give me low gears too for hills but i want cassete give me good cadence
