This seems to be a case of NIMBY, or rather, front yard. What a lot of selfish, short-sighted homeowners. (I'm guessing a wide network of bike lanes is not in the works in Tulsa.) The mayor's stance on this issue has got to be galling for a lot of people in Tulsa as well. You expect a bit of corruption in city government, no matter what city you're in, but the complete laziness in justifying the corruption here has got to be more than a little insulting. I can't recall anyone else, ever, saying that they weren't going to install a sidewalk because it would be too dangerous for, um, pedestrians....
