[QUOTE=ggbo951a;17257937]i got my dyamondback from rei and was very nice mountain/road bike and this is first bike I got with disk brake system. I heard it is great braking but high maintenance. Only after a month, I am hearing horrible howling noise during certain brake pressure and also with certain speed.
seems like it might be disk brake issue. I am too busy to look through manual but I saw there are some adjustment screws on the braking unit. Is it something I should try to adjust. My wild guess for now might be disk is rubbing again the caliber pad during ride and making howling noise. For braking I am not sure what is causing. Could need to lubricate? Then braking effectivess will suffer right? Braking noise seems to be happening only when I brake initial few times during ride.
Thanks.,[/]
