I have heard Chicago referred to as the next Detroit! Are you saying you haven't?

It is wonderful to have an emotional attachment to city's and community's! It is our passions and emotional investments that make humans... human. Please don't take my pragmatic outlook as an assault on what you love. I respect peoples passions and feelings. But things will always progress and change.... it is not within my power to ether accelerate or slow such change. I am merely relating the observations of many.

I myself also have deep feelings for both location and cycling! I am NOT against you, cycling, or any city.
