Hmmmm....this topic has me thinking about wind and higher profile aero rims...So, yesterday I was out, good 40mph gusts, (90mm stem..) definitely feeling it and my wheels are 26mm deep not including tire..., I'd hazard a guess that building a bike (fit) up that incorporates a longer stem would provide some better lever action against crosswind gusts, positioning the moment of turn farther out front, if you have 40mm+ wheels fit to your machine?

...uhh, but I do actually see your point. I have 60s and have no problem in the cross winds with a 120 stem. Back when I had a shorter stem (100) and the same wheels, I DID notice more twitch from the gusts.
