That's fantastic! Don't worry too much about cutting your time down, that will happen eventually.
Stick with it and you'll find yourself wondering why it took you so long to get started - many of us now hate it when something prevents us from riding and we'll look for ways to fit a ride in even when it might not make much sense to do so.
In fact this morning I had arranged to bring my bike into my local bike shop for a bit of work. Logically I should have simply put my bike in the back of my pickup and dropped it off then driven into work, but I couldn't bear the thought of driving in. So instead I tripled my commute time by riding to the bike shop (in the opposite direction of work) and figuring out a bus route to get me to work.
I'll reverse the whole thing at the end of the day. Sure, it took me a long time to get here but it was worth it because I managed to fit a morning bike ride in!
