I have a big issue w/ a claw mount, unless you can do it w/o molesting the Simplex tab, but I have no problem w/ a bit of judicious retapping or even shaping of the hanger. I found it very easy to hang a short cage SunTour Cyclone II on my 1980 PKN-10, but I do not know whether Simplex had changed its dropout design by then. You can always mix and match derailleurs and mounting bolts, as well.
