No, it is not incontrovertible at all. It is however overwhelming at this time. You need really, really good evidence to controvert overwhelming evidence, and at this point, no one has that. There is no harm in scientists following alternative theories that they think might have merit. There is harm in pretending there is some kind of green conspiracy amongst 97% of scientists. Why would they do that? It makes no sense whatsoever.
