You don't even need to tap them in, they're loose enough you just set them in by hand.

Though TBH, I haven't seen much in the way of creaking issues (Maybe Delrin or whatever plastic they're made of doesn't creak... or a bike of that price just doesn't see too much bad weather) but there's a smidge of play that isn't there normally. 90% of time that I've seen this issue come up (24mm in a xx30 frame), the owners see the light and go to a 30mm spindle crank (usually a Red drivetrain for the guys that want light weight, or Rotor)
