Bikes: Old steel GT's, for touring and commuting

.

Protocol question: I know we usually allow mileage to be included as "commuting" if you decide to take a longer route home or run some errands or something, can some folks weigh in on this situation:

I work overnight shifts at a hospital, got off work at 0730, rode 13.5 miles to a ferry terminal, rode another 19.3 miles to a high school pool to take a kayaking roll class, rode another 15.1 miles back to the ferry terminal, and then finally another 4.7 miles to home.

Does this count as "commuting"?

Thanks!
