I am researching the possibility of adding rod brakes to a Raleigh frame. I would like to use rod actuated drum brakes if possible, and I know there was a rod conversion kit produced b SA. Can this kit still be purchased anywhere?

Alternatively, does anyone use rod brakes with kool stop pads? Do these have decent stopping power compared to using regular pads?
