Wouldn't carbon be more durable than plastic? Or what about Aluminum? I wouldn't mind if the cleats even had steel plating. Why don't they make cleats out of those materials?
Speedplay uses metal in their cleats. I see crank brothers make metal cleats.
Why can't SPD-SL make metal cleats or metal plated?
