Freezing rain last night, residential streets haven't been plowed or well sanded/salted whereas main roads are fine as long as you're well away from the curb and therefore significantly into the lane, so I took the car.

I figured that I had a good part of the month of November to get my winter bike together (with DIY studded tires) but that is not the case so I'll be off my bike until either the temp warms to get rid of road snow and ice or my bike is together; I need to finish the tires, replace 2 spokes and replace the rear gear shifter although, in a pinch, I could go single speed for a little while.
