Heavy overnight rain gave way to clear Blue skies and wall to wall sunshine early this morning and what a great day it turned out, the kind you want to bottle then pour out every time you cycle, with temp`s at 52/54 Fah`t I reckon. Heck this is the frozen N.E. of England not S`n.California. (we will suffer for these last two days)
And no work today.
I was tempted to bring the road bike out of hibernation, glad I did`nt as there was lots of standing water on the roads, with road salt swirling in it no doubt, not good for your expensive roadster, so I made do with my trusty old hybrid.
Headed of up North again, 25 miles as far as the bottom of the "Winters Gibbet" a climb of 2000 ft ups and downs( mostly ups) I`ll leave that till my legs muscle up later in the year.
Returned to Scots gap for a pot of tea and scones at the cafe there.
Fortified me for the return via a different route.
Whooooo 58 mile ride on return, thats the 100 ml up in first 2 days.
It can`t last!!!!
