Tried the specialized ebike last saturday, cool and wierd.
This isn't a review. I only rode it for about 10 minutes at most. Just wanted to share some quick impressions.
The PAS seems to be very smooth. I have only used a very rough one (BBS02 mid drive faux PAS to be exact).
It was so smooth I kept having this weird feeling that I must have a monster tailwind. It wasn't setup for a throttle, so only levels of PAS. My legs just kept telling my brain that they weren't working nearly hard enough for how fast we were going.
I would have liked to have gotten better info on range or at least range at different speeds from the LBS selling them, but such is life.
The price for a new battery I was quoted was 800+.
It was all in all, a really fun ride. The 4000$ price tag kind of puts me off, but it does seem to be a really nice setup, and probably far nicer of a PAS setup than a cheap kit can provide.
