Im building a winter bike, and to fight corrosion lots of people are recommending linseed oil. Well, today I very nearly burnt the house down because of that bloody precautionary practise. Apparently, but not apparently enough to put a warning on the jar, the stuff self combusts. As in. I cleaned the excess oil in the tub this morning, and by this afternoon, the trash bin in the bathroom was completely on fire. Just thought Id pass along that little diddy for anyone else linseeding their bikes for winter. maybe this is common knowledge where y'all are from, but I had never heard that mentioned before, not once. I thought there was a vindictive ghost for a minute, then I googled it.
