Unfortunately, from the admittedly unscientific and limited selection of cars we had to test, the best I can offer is "some do, some don't." Some of them seemed to detect a person walking better than a bike. which surprised me, but then I suspect they spent some real time on detecting humans, and less on detecting humans suspended on a wire frame composed of varying materials.
