I just did a Look pedal bearing replacement at work a week ago. getting the axle/bearing assembly out was straight forward. But the way the bearing (there was only one cartridge up against the crank end, the outer end was a sleeve) was tight against the plastic retaining cap prevented my using the usual punch/press off methods. In the end I ground down the cartridge until it split and slid off the axle. the pressing on of the new bearing was straight forward. I did measure from the axle end to the bearing just to make sure of proper placement. I did have to play with the bearing retaining clip a bit before it seated in the groove. On reassembly the results were not as nice as I expected. While the axle now did spin fairly easily (it was frozen before) there was a bit of a rough point. I asked the customer to return after a few rides to see if this wears in a bit. Andy.
