I did learn that having a resting HR in the mid 30's causes much consternation and need for explanation at the hospital. The low HR alarm was set to go off at a considerably higher level. Also learned that I was quite a bit older than the chief surgeon and the anesthesiolist. The surgeon was a U of I grad and a Bears fan and the anesthesiologist a bit of a Deadhead (he gave me some awesome stuff to enjoy before going under.. damn that was good).
Surgeon was also a triathlete and estimates 2-3 weeks off the bike... I'm good with that, even though I am already ****zing about my off season weight gain.
Awesome Herbie. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
All this from CX, right?
