Pretty sure from you last picture your chain is too long. The dérailleur cage should be pointed forward (just a little) when in the big-big combo. The problem you are having can be caused by too little tension on the bottom of the chain.
This has nothing to do with derailleur adjustment.
+1, your chain is way too long. And I would ask for a new frame at this point since this is really the bike shop's fault.
