A long magnet on a telescoping handle should do the trick. Now if it would just work its way back to the same spot it was at when I could see it

I will tell you what happened, it entered the fourth dimension after it escaped through the tear in a bike box of a bike I won on eBay, seller did an okay job of packing but after removing the brake cables just left the cable adjusters to fend for themselves unsecured in the calipers. I found one rattling in the bottom of the box, the other escaped to that dimension beyond, same place that one of my socks often do when the spouse does laundry for me.
Then it landed in your car due to the Campagnolo gravitational force embedded in every Campagnolo steel component and some dimensional worm hole you were near, you must have had a full Campagnolo bike nearby.
