Lots of fresh (but wet and heavy) snow on the ground overnight. Finally completed my winter bike with DIY studded tires. They probably helped but the snow was so thick and the sidewalks and paths were unplowed so my tires didn't penetrate to the pavement, especially in some places, and tended to slip back and forth a lot. This afternoon's ride should be much better despite the fact that it continues to snow right now. Hard work riding but enjoyable!
