do you know of a good website to source parts? I'm sure it is in the forums on a sticky so i will have a look there first. and if you know of any better ones that are ideal i would love to have a look.

thank you for all your help. i am so glad i have found this forum and will be frequently visiting it and asking questions and finding answers along the way

thanks.

There's a lot of good sites for parts, but depending on what you're looking for specifically, it's tough to recommend the best site...

I think you'll find a lot of good advice, parts, and camaraderie at ratrodbikes.com... it's another forum, similar to this, but specializing more in old crap and good times....
