That lower pulley is original, but with the molded plastic "teeth ring" broken off of the steel ball-bearing "hub". It won't shift if this happens to the top pulley.

^ Yes, that's a Simplex ball bearing pulley that has lost its toothed plastic collar.
They unfortunately tend to do so after 50 years or so and millions of revolutions.
