(((What is confusing me is, the Motobecane 750ht is priced lower than the Motobecane 650ht but it claims that the actual price of the Motobecane 750ht is MUCH more than the 650th? I didn't understand why it is then lowered priced,)))

Ok so your a big volume dealer and you got 1,000 750ht's you got to get out of your warehouse fast to make room for the next shipment.
But you only have 100 of the 650ht's and they are not taking up much space and they will sell out.
How do you move the 750ht's?
You cannot mark them down as your actual selling prices are all the bikes are worth or you would get more for them.

So you radically raise the LIST price to make them seem like the more super sweet deal,, "Wow dude these are $1000 off not $500 off so I gotta get me one",,,"It says Hurry while they last" !!!!

This is how they do things in many busineses..

My next door neighbor bought a Jamis full squish something, paid $1,0000 for it, told me it was a $3,000 bike...
Mech brakes come on entry level bikes, his has mech brakes. It's worth about $1,000, no more, but he thinks he got a sweet deal,
he's happy,
Its his money,

The Bike is heavy,
26" wheels,
fits him poorly, he's a big dude,,
It hangs on the garage wall,,,
He does take it down and ride it to the gym every week...
Looks cool tho

As far as what bike is best for you on your list, well,,,,
The thing that would serve you best, give you the best riding experience and a better bike for just a little more money would be to go to your local bike shop and get the proper fit and feel you can only get with a test ride.

The $500 to $600 dollar range at a bike shop gives you service after the sale and tire choices and adjustment help,
these things are worth alot !

Internet bike in a box ?
Only of I was dead sure of the ride feel and fit !
