I really like your light bar but disagree with one of your points. Many people specifically mount bike lights lower to cast those shadows. Sometimes it's hard to see small bumps and other things in the road when the lights are mounted very high (and subsequently don't cast any shadows.) Many dynamo lights are mounted on a bracket coming off of the front brake mount. But I guess it's all a matter of preference.
