BTW ILTB... you do know that such a statistic for motorists using cell phones causing collisions would actually be quite difficult to amass... just to find out of someone is using a cell phone you have to submit a subpoena to the telco carrier to determine if the phone was in use during or just prior to the collision... not an easy process. Unless laws change requiring one to submit phone records after a collision, the data you want just will not be available. But laws do change... as does technology... the first Breathalyzer for alcohol testing wasn't invented until the late '60s.
