I'm about to do one of mine, beginning Christmas Day: Tulum to Punta Allen. We're still discussing day two, but Felipe Carillo Puerto would be a nice option. Still deciding whether to take a cyclocross type bike, with 38 mm tires or a mtn. bike, with 2" tires and upright position. Leaning toward the drop bars.
