I have been reading through your thread and I'm impressed at the steps you've taken to overcome winter - which is not something I need to worry about here in San Diego - in fact, transitioning from mostly swimming to mostly biking has been all I really needed to do in response to what we call "winter" out here in Southern California.
I do like the idea of your buying yourself a new bike as a reward - I tend to prefer older bikes, but I am looking at getting something with a modern drivetrain.
I wouldn't worry too much if you spike temporarily back into the dark side of 200. What I have found on my parallel journey to yours is that I do occassionally get these 2-3 pound blips back up as I might over-hydrate and over-eat after a particularly aggressive workout day - but it invariably comes back off in a few days. My last one of these was a week ago, after I first got below 202 after having been steadily under 203 for about a week, then I bounced back up to around 204.5. But as it was mostly water weight and bloat from one large dinner, i ended up shedding about a pound to a pound and a half a day of that for several days, till I hit 199.1 yesterday, and 198.8 this morning.
UGH!!! My water weight swings are enough to make a grown man cry....
