Shimano 105 - ST5600 compatibility with SRAM X7 Rear Derailleur

Hey Guys,

I just came across the 2009ish Shimano 105 Shifters - ST5600 3x 10. I have a 2013ish SRAM X7 rear derailleur and a Shimano Deore LX front derailleur. I am wondering if I will be able to use these 105 shifters with my current groupo or do I need to buy a new rear derailleur. I have heard about some adapters that help with the different pull ratio. My cassette is a 11-32 tooth SRAM, if that matters.

Adapter: Jtek ShiftMate Straight

So what I am trying to figure out, is it better to buy a new rear derailleur or use one of the adapters?
