That's a good reminder. Maybe you've heard of the "happiness curve." In surveys, many of the very young report being happy because they have fewer responsibilities & more freedom; many of the elderly report being happy because (hopefully) they've learned not to sweat the small stuff & not to care too much about what others think of them. Those in the intermediate age group, though, sometimes lack those benefits.
