32.5 miles, temperatures in the low 30's but above freezing.
The significance of this bridge over the Sudbury River is that about 20 years ago a big section dropped out and fell into the river.
The original builders had left out the steel reinforcing called for in the original design. Apparently oversight and accountability weren't part of the plan. The state rebuilt it slowly, using the original stone for the facade and side walls. The new bridge isn't as elegant as the original compact arch but it will probably last longer.
